Send a Mid-Semester Snack Care Package
Regardless of where your favorite college student is stationed for the next four years, they’re hungry! They may or may not be cold on their way to class, but they could always eat. It’s the middle of the semester—winter break is long gone and spring break isn’t close enough—so it’s the perfect time to send your college friends a care package loaded with snacks.
4 Reasons Your College Kid “Deserves” a Care Package 🙂
1. Winter cold
It’s particularly chilly this winter, so your college friends need something that will warm up their bodies. The Hot Cajun Mix included in the snack care package will fire up their taste buds and warm them to their core! Or they’ll need some comfort foods, like Honey Toasted Peanuts or Strawberry Honey Crunch, which has dried strawberries, honey roasted sesame chips, dried cranberries, almonds, walnuts, honey roasted peanuts, raisins, and banana chips.
2. Brain food
It’s the middle of the semester, which means it’s mid-term season. Whether they’re cramming for exams in the library, writing a paper in their dorm room, or convening with a study group on campus, they’re going to need some extra protein to power that cerebral energy. Almonds are probably the best option here. They’ll also keep those scholars full so they don’t have to interrupt their studies to go in search of a meal. Peanut Butter Pretzels are another filling, protein-packed that they can munch on and share with friends.
3. Spring break health craze
And once mid-terms are over, it’ll be time for spring break! Which means that co-eds everywhere are going to the gym like crazy, alternating between the elliptical and ab exercises. Gotta be swimsuit ready! So they’ll need healthy snacks that are high in protein and low in fats and sugars. Rocky Mountain Trail Mix is the most traditional of the trail mixes—peanuts, raisins, and milk chocolate candies. Health Mix is the simplest of the snack mixes with no added sugars. It has raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds, apples, cashews, almonds, and pecans—the perfect combination of protein and fiber that will keep them full in between workouts and classes. California Gold is a little bit sweeter, with almonds, walnuts, coconut, honey roasted peanuts, and dried fruits such as apricots, apples, papaya, and banana chips.
4. Late night party food
In the meantime, to power them through to spring break, they’ll need some snacks to share with friends after a late night of partying or watching movies. And Pepper & Cheese Pub Mix is the perfect thing. With roasted pepper and cheese sesame sticks, cheddar and chili-lemon corn sticks, pretzels, and roasted peanuts, it’s salty and savory with just a hint of spiciness. Or, for something sweeter, our Sour Gummi Worms and Gummi Bears that are included in the snack care package.
